Vog Treatment and Health Tips

Vog is a combination of sulfur dioxide gas, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and a vast array of heavy metals and other volatile and not-so-healthful elements. As vog moves through the air, and mixes with moisture droplets, the sulfur dioxide gas transforms to the very dangerous sulfuric acid, and this 'acid rain', as it comes in contact with buildings, plants, animals and, as you inhale it deeply into your lungs, causes many problems. In buildings and catchment systems, it can cause harmful leaching of lead from roofing materials, pipes and metal fittings thereby directly contaminating water systems. In plants, vog particulates accumulate on fruits and vegetables, and in some cases, are taken into 'heavy metal aggregators' or plants which pull heavy metals from the air or soils (tobacco and marijuana are examples of heavy metal aggregators).
In humans, vog's negative affects range from headaches, nausea, sinus infections, severe skin rashes, ulcers and lesions to respiratory infections and systemic toxicity. In animals, we are seeing low birth weights and weak offspring to spontaneous abortions, digestive disorders and eye and skin infections.
So, okay, this all sounds like a really bad thing for those of us who live on the Big Island of Hawai'i. And, while it's been no 'picnic in paradise' these past 15 months of dramatically-increased vog emissions, there are ways in which we can limit our exposure and mitigate or reduce the toxic side-effects of this temporary situation. About Ellison Integrated Healing

Ellison Integrated Healing (EIH) is a natural health practice that utilizes research-based, drugless approaches to restore vibrant health and well being to body, mind and spirit. In today's world, stress, diet, lifestyle, germs and viruses cause imbalances in the environment that make disease and injury more likely to manifest. An individual cannot counteract these imbalances and enjoy complete well-being unless the brain and the functional systems of the body are able to communicate efficiently. EIH facilitates a return to health by employing an integrated approach that is the result of more than twenty years of experience in utilizing both a scientific and an intuitive approach to healing.

(continued) Vog Treatment and Health Tips

First of all, we can avoid strenuous outdoor physical activity when vog is most heavy and tradewinds are absent. Reducing outside air flow into homes and offices by closing doors and windows and utilizing air purifiers which reduce both particulates as well as gaseous forms of contamination. We can take steps to place protective covering over catchment systems to keep vog from running off exposed surfaces or settling on catchment system components. And, as importantly, we can take the necessary diet and supplement steps to improve our body's ability to fight off the negative effects of vog.

Foods To Avoid
During heavy vog periods people should pay particular attention to removing excess sulfur content from their daily routines. This includes all foods which contain various forms of sulfur:
Processed foods with sulfur additives as preservatives
Sulfur Dioxide Sodium Sulfite
Sodium Bisulfate Potassium Bisulfate
Alcoholic beverages containing sulfites
Dried (non-organic) fruits

Foods To Include Or Increase Intake
Choose foods for the protective and purifying qualities for the lungs, liver, kidney and spleen. Pungent foods are known for their 'purifying/detoxing' effects, while protective foods rich in antioxidant and beta-carotene contents protect the surfaces and mucous membranes of the body while bolstering the body's immune system.

Pungent Foods
Cabbage Hot Peppers and Chiles
Daikon Radish Onion
Garlic Radish
Ginger Turnip
Horseradish White Peppercorn

Protective Foods
Apple Pear
Broccoli Parsley
Carrot Pumpkin
Watercress Kale
Wheat or Barley Grass Winter Squash
Mustard Greens Green, Blue-Green or Golden
Micro Algae

In addition to proactive and protective changes to our diet, there are also some very important daily additions in terms of supplementation that are vital for reducing and/or eliminating the negative side effects of exposure to vog.

Supplements:

Vitamin B Complex
Reduces oxidative stress and inflammatory response

Cissus Quadrangularis
Encourages healing and aids in circulation

Loquat Leaf
Clears lung heat and assists in respiratory function and clearance of mucous

Pine Bark Extract
600x more antioxidant benefits than Vitamin C; helps to boost immune function and improves peripheral blood circulation

One dietary supplement which contains therapeutic levels of these vital nutrients and more is called WellCapAM™ Activation Complex by Wellcorps International, and available at my office. Several integrative medical practitioners on the Big Island of Hawai'i carry this very valuable formulation for assisting with vog complications and I highly recommend it to my patients.

Acupuncture
Opening and increasing the flow of energy or qi through the various meridians in the body is vital to releasing and flushing out the toxins associated with vog contamination. Boosting the kidney, liver, spleen and lung functions all assist in the natural detoxification processes of the human body. Simple acupuncture and acupressure therapies can provide dramatic relief in as little as 30 minutes.

Chinese Herbs
In ancient Chinese medicine, we utilize five, distinct botanicals which relate to toxic influences:

Xia Ku Cao
Clears heat from red, swollen and painful eyes, clears swollen glands in neck, alleviates headache.

Lu Xian Cao
Alleviates scratchy, dry, irritated throat and improves vocal functions

Fang Feng
Alleviates headache and improves respiration while reducing mucous in sinuses and lungs

Jing Jie
Alleviates heat in lungs and provides exit transport of impurities throughout respiratory system

Chai Hu
Relieves liver burden in toxicity processing and relieves headache and chest pain due to congestion

Essential Oils
Chinese medicine has utilized specific, essential oils either as direct applications to skin or through the inhalation of their aromatic essence by applying a small amount to the palms of the hands, and cupping the hands gently around the mouth and nose while inhaling these beneficial aromas. I recommend two, specific formulations to my patients for vog assistance.

Flight Angel
This proprietary formulation supports upper respiratory activity and helps to boost overall immune function. Applied lightly to the palms of the hands and inhaled through mouth and nose, this combination of Eucalyptus, Hyssop, Lavender and Ravensara provides immediate and lasting relief throughout the day. Additionally, this formulation, used every two hours, is a vital component of airline travels and while being confined in close quarters with large numbers of people as a preventative against viruses and bacteria.

Dry Cough Formulation
3 Drops of Eucalyptus Oil
2 Drops of Lemon Oil
2 Tablespoons Organic, Pure Honey

One teaspoon of this concentrated formula is best used in hot water as a tea and sipped regularly throughout the day to assist with congestion and respiratory difficulties.
Let's remember to keep in mind that volcanic activity is a fact of life in Polynesia and that ancient Hawaiians endured many such episodes of vog and lava flows over the millennia. Being smart about our physical activities as well as our dietary, alcohol and supplement intake, especially during the most vigorous outbreaks, is our best bet toward positively influencing our health and reducing the negative effects of volcanic smog in our daily lives.

Turtle Guidelines

Turtle Guidelines: "MARINE VISITATION GUIDELINES- Turtles

See Turtles for information about sea turtles in Hawaii.
Try and observe sea turtles on the shore from a distance of at least 20 feet. Puako provides a very important foraging and basking environment for green sea turtles. Stress caused by rubbing, petting, grabbing or holding onto a turtle can cause it to avoid an area important for feeding, reproduction or predator avoidance. Turtles only eat certain types of algae so it is important not to chase them away from their favourite feeding spot.
Do not disturb resting turtles on the ocean floor, under ledges or on rocks. They need to rest to conserve their energy. Since turtles are cold-blooded they need to bask on the rocks to raise their body temperature before returning to the ocean. When viewing turtles on the shore try not to make any noise or do anything to scare them or cause them to move away, such as throwing sand or stones. Do not block their path back to the ocean.
When swimming give turtles space and do not touch them. Turtles must be able to swim freely and come up to breathe air. Grabbing a turtle underwater could drown it if it needs to come up for air. A turtle is may be feeling harassed if it swims away from you when you get too close- turtles can swim at 35mph! Y ou may also see turtles at cleaning stations or being cleaned by reef fishes that eat the algae on their backs, such as damselfish, angelfish or surgeonfish. Don’t frighten them away when this is happening because they need to be kept free of algae.
Watch for turtles while boating - boat strikes can kill.
All sea turtles in Hawaii are protected by both State and Federal Law! It is illegal to kill, capture, touch or harass sea turtles. Fines can be as high as $25,000 and may include a year in prison.

MENTAL GOLF TIP: HOW TO HIT MORE GREENSfrom Darrin's Mental Golf Tip LibraryThis tip will help you hit more greens in regulation by doing one simple thing: take one more club.I enjoy observing how golfers operate on the golf course. You can learn a lot about a person and what makes them tick. One of the most interesting processes is watching how each individual golfer determines what club to hit. Some march out their distances by counting each and every step. Others use range view finders. Some look for the 150 marker and gauge their distance accordingly. Some just go with instinct. Into the calculation goes wind, elevation change, pin placement and for some the sun and the moon. All kidding aside, a golfer ultimately determines the distance and then selects the club that he or she believes will get the ball to their target. However, the large majority of golfers pick a club that they have to hit perfectly in order to go that distance. In other words, if they don't hit it just right, the ball will more than likely fall short. In fact, for the majority of amateurs, when they miss their target they're missing it because they are short of their intended target. They've missed the shot because of a slight miscalculation. The trick I like to use is to figure out my distance, choose the club that I want to hit, and then add one extra club. So, if I determine that an 8-iron is the right club to hit, I then add one more club and hit a 7-iron instead. Then I proceed with the same pre-shot ritual and strike the ball.If I hit it less than perfect, it will still have the distance that will get me to my target. If I hit it poorly, it may still be on the green but short. If I hit it perfectly, it will be a little long but most likely still on or around the green. Give this tip a try and see if you hit more greens and ultimately play better golf.

This is a great new Magazine for the island lifestyle!

I would personally like to thank you for taking the time to read this new and innovative magazine. ARFS Foundation of the Philippines

This is a new page I am working on for the ARFS Foundation
Home Page
My mother died when I was only six years old, I wanted to go to school so bad but my father wouldn’t let me because we were poor and he couldn’t afford to send me to school even though it was only public school. We had no money for any school supplies and we were disparate need of food. At the time, when I turned eight I became an orphan to a missionary leader name Ruben Ecleo Sr. He was the founder of PBMA which means Philippines Benevolent Missionary Association. I lived with his family but I had to work hard to stay in their house. It was during then that I learned everything at a very young age such as such as cooking, cleaning the house, and do laundry (hand washing). I had a really tough time then but I stayed strong and had faith to our Lord God, then eventually as years flew by I met my husband Mark Bartholomy. He helped me move to Hawaii and live a better life, where I am now still working hard as a massage therapist.
Goal: My goal is to help out kids who are in great need, especially those who want education. I want to give them a bright future because it reminds me of where I came from and how I got to where I am today.
Dreams: My dreams are to build my own boarding school so that I can help kids get a guaranteed education. I want to help kids who are wondering around the streets because it breaks my heart to see them like that and to remember that I was one of them before. Currently I am helping out 50 students from pre-school to college, and it’s all up to them to build their future. It makes me very happy to see or know that a student of mine graduated and achieve their goal, so please brothers and sisters help me support all these children. I have photos of every one of them if you want to sponsor or give a donation, every year you will be able to get an update on how they are doing and they will write to you. There are many children that are cold and unfortunately some die from hunger. Please take a moment and think how blessed we are from God. We have a house to live in, a comfortable bed to sleep in, a cozy blanket to keep us warm throughout the night and surplus amount of food. We are definitely very blessed, but some people out there think that they are not blessed because their financial troubles. We always have to count on blessings and don’t count the things that we don’t have. As for me, I really want shelter for those children badly, give them endless food and warm clothes. Brothers and sisters I am reaching to your heart right now, if u or anyone you know have un-wanted clothes, food, computer or any technological items, school supplies, and extra dollar please help these children. Every dollar you give will help in as much way as it can and also it will put a big smile on their faces that will melt your heart.

Kilauea Viewing

HAWAI'I'S HOTTEST ATTRACTION ENTERS THE SEA AGAIN

Kīlauea's red hot lava currently visible by land, sea and air

Hilo, Hawai'i's Big Island (March 11, 2008) - Hawai'i's volcano goddess Pele is on the move again, and officials have joined forces to ensure the public can safely view the mesmerizing movement of smooth pāhoehoe lava as it makes its way down slope from Kīlauea volcano.

On Sat., Mar. 8, a coalition of federal, state and Hawai'i county leaders officially opened the Kalapana viewing area to provide safe viewing of the current lava flow by foot, which entered the ocean a few days ago - the first time lava has reached the sea since June 2007. While the ocean entry is not visible from the new viewing area, as many as 8,000 admirers flocked to the Kalapana viewing site, located at the end of Highway 130 in Puna, to see the lava ooze and burn its way across the coastal plain.

At press time, the viewing area is open daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the last car permitted into the parking area at 8 p.m. The afternoon opening gives volcano scientists ample time to assess the ever-changing lava activity and report to Hawai'i County Civil Defense. The area is subject to closure if danger is imminent.

"I was completely hypnotized by the beauty and power of the molten lava," said Rebecca Sawyer, a resident of Waikoloa who drove more than three hours on Saturday with her family to witness the natural phenomenon. "It took us two hours to walk in from where we parked, but it was worth every step. It's something that will be seared into my memory forever," she said.

Visitors to the viewing area are strongly advised to carry two to three quarts or liters of water each; wear sturdy, closed-toe boots or shoes with socks; carry at least one flashlight per person; wear long pants, a sun hat and plenty of sunscreen. There is no cell phone coverage in the viewing area.

Hawai'i County Mayor Harry Kim reminds visitors the viewing area passes by private homes and properties and to proceed with respect and not leave trash behind. Portable restrooms are set up for public use.

Visitors on foot must obey all warning signs and are required to stay within permitted areas for safety purposes. A newly formed black sand beach and land area are extremely unstable, and could collapse into the ocean at any time. There is also the threat of acidic laze, a hazardous chemical reaction of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and seawater, that occurs when the extreme heat of the lava enters the sea, rapidly boils and vaporizes the seawater into visible white plumes.

The lava is also currently visible from the ocean via passenger crafts that avoid laze-prone areas. Capt. Shane Turpin, owner of Lava Ocean Adventures, reported a huge demand for his boat tours that depart East Hawai'i to take passengers to watch the lava pour into the sea, and reports they've seen multiple lava flows gushing into the sea daily.

"From the boat we're experiencing a large push that just entered the sea this morning with 11 different spots where red hot lava was seen oozing into the sea. Quite a spectacle, even for the most seasoned lava explorers. We're operating tours during sunset and sunrise daily," said Capt. Turpin. "People are just in awe when they see Pele meet the ocean. No words can describe it."

Air tours are another popular way to view the current active flow. "We've had a lot of incredible flight seeing in the last six months or so, but it can change as quickly as we are speaking," said Jeanne Alford, Big Island operations manager for Sunshine Helicopters.

"We never know what we're going to see on each trip, the lava can be so unpredictable. But I can say we're seeing lava activity in some areas now that we haven't seen in many years. What is predictable is that Hawai'i's Big Island has so much incredible and diverse geography, from valleys, to lava plains, volcanoes and waterfalls, that any of our helicopter flights will be a great time," she said.

The current eruption originates from a fissure northeast of Pu'u Ō'ō vent, in the Pu'u Kahauale'a Natural Area Reserve, outside the boundaries of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The area is managed by the Department of Land and Natural Resources, and is strictly off limits for public safety concerns due to hazardous vent conditions and high sulfur dioxide fume concentrations, with ongoing law enforcement to prevent entry. Outside of the Natural Area Reserve, the coastal land area near the current flow is also strictly off limits and state officials are redirecting hikers to the lava viewing area.

www.WaikoloaBob.com

Waikoloa Bob, Inc. is based in Waikoloa, Hawaii on the Kohala coast of the big island of Hawaii. Waikoloa Bob is an avid golfer and was always plagued by mosquitoes during his early morning and early evening outings on the golf course. He couldn’t stand using DEET based products because he knew the chemicals were not good and they smelled so bad, and he spent many months researching for something better. After six months of research, he ordered the essential oils he believed would be best to ward off mosquitoes.
The formula works great.
Amazingly, this all natural oil spray also prevented flies and sand fleas from bothering all those who tried the oil. All of the people to whom the product has been given state they are no longer being bitten or bothered by mosquitoes and flies. Those who have gone to the beach state that sand fleas have no longer bothered them and have even used the oil on their dogs to protect from fleas. Plus, the oil leaves their skin soft and moisturized. The base vegetable oil is high in Omega 3 oils and does not leave skin feeling oily, as do petrolatum or mineral oil solutions.
Waikoloa Bob’s 100% Kona Coffee is a medium roasted fresh bean acquired from Sunrise Farms located in Captain Cook, HI.

July 9, 2006My mom works at the Kona International Market and she sent me your product!!! We live in Ohio where mosquitos grow to the size of quarters. I use this spray on my children, husband and on myself. We love it!!! It keep the pesky bugs away and it smells wonderful. I thank you for making a product that is so environmentally friendly and that does what it says. I am passing some on to my friend in the next town over who has little ones and is wary of putting chemical sprays on them. Thanks to you our summer just got more enjoyable!!!The Watson’sAshland Ohio************************************************************************************************************************I can’t get enough of Waikoloa Bob’s oil. I use it twice a day, once after showering in the morning and once in the afternoon, and I haven’t had any mosquito bites since I started using the oil. Before I tried Bob’s spray, I was eaten alive by mosquitoes, especially in the Kona and Captain Cook area of Hawaii, and the flies used to buzz around my upper body when I would do gardening, but now, no more. I also like the smell and the way the oil leaves my skin feeling so soft. I am so surprised that my skin doesn’t stay oily after applying the oil, since it is an oil. I wait a few minutes before getting dressed and I haven’t had any problems with my clothes getting oil stains. I wouldn’t care, though, because the oil works so well against bugs bothering me.Debi B, Waikoloa, HI*************************************************************************************************************I live in Captain Cook, Hawaii, in the jungle and work outside every day on my coffee and macadamia nut farm. I used to have to spray DEET based products on me several times a day to keep the mosquitoes and flies away. I was given several samples of the Waikoloa Bob’s mosquitos and fly repellent oil spray to try and could not believe how well it keeps the insects away. Bob made up a water based formula for me, too, which keeps the flies away from the kitchen when I’m cooking. I love this product and I don’t have to use DEET anymore.Alys S, Captain Cook, HI************************************************************************************************************I keep a bar of Waikoloa Bob’s Hawaiian Soap on my kitchen sink and use it several times a day. The fragrance has kept flies from landing in my kitchen area. I keep my sliding glass door open all day and there is no screen door to keep the flies out of my house. I will always keep a bar of this amazing soap in my kitchen.Linda S, Kailua-Kona, HI************************************************************************************************************I love all your products, Waikoloa Bob. Thank you for making such a wonderful soap. I use it to shave my face because I’m allergic to practically all men’s shaving products. Your soap leaves my skin soft and better smelling than any after shave lotion. Your botanical oil has kept mosquitoes from biting me. I apply the oil on my skin in the morning and the repelling properties seem to last for many hours. I carry a bottle of oil with me everywhere I go because it is especially needed when I visit my friends in the jungle areas of Hawaii. I take more baths now than ever because your bath salts really do relieve my aching muscles after a long day of ocean fishing. Can you make your bath salts with the fragrance in your soap and oil? I think that would be the ultimate. Thank you.John T, Kailua-Kona, HI************************************************************************************************************Dear Waikoloa Bob,On a recent trip to Hawaii, I obtained some of your wonderful soap. This soap, with all of it's natural ingredients is really emollient and gentle, so it softens my skin and doesn't sting or burn those sensitive areas on my body like most of the other soaps I've used.Another side benefit is the natural bug repellent that helps to keep away those pesky flies and mosquitoes that can be such an aggravation. Thanks for your great product.C. HardisonCitrus Heights, California*************************************************************************************************************July 4, 2005I hate flies, and they are especially abundant during the summer in Bakersfield, CA. So, just last month, I started using Waikoloa Bob’s Hawaiian Soap. Then, before I go outside, I apply Waikoloa Bob’s Hawaiian Botanical Oil to my arms, legs and neck to keep the flies from landing on me. Last month, my husband was working outside and being bothered by LOTS of flies, so I sprayed the oil on his legs. Although my husband has numerous allergies and has problems with almost every lotion or spray, he did NOT have an adverse reaction to Waikoloa Bob’s Hawaiian Botanical Oil! It’s good to know there’s something that he can, finally, use!Kathleen L-TBakersfield, CA

Kapoho Vacation Rentals

Kapoho is a magical spot on Hawaii’s Big Island, a sleepy little community on the island’s eastern tip near Hilo. Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is the practice of saving bookmarks to a public Web site and “tagging” them with the keywords. Bookmarking, on the other hand, is the practice of saving the address of a website you wish to visit in the future on your computer. To create a collection of social bookmarks, you register with a social bookmarking site, which lets you store bookmarks, add tags of your choice, and designate individual bookmarks as public or private. Some sites periodically verify that bookmarks still work, notifying users when a URL no longer functions. Visitors to social bookmarking sites can search for resources by keyword, person, or popularity and see the public bookmarks, tags, and classification schemes that registered users have created and saved. Social bookmarking is another tool used to promote a website. Having a bookmark on a social bookmarking website, you could expect the page to be crawled by popular search engines in about hours or within days. It also helps drive qualified direct traffic to your website.

Enjoy World Class Golfing on the Big Island Of Hawaii.
Darrin Gee's
Hawaii Golf school ONE OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY

Golf Magazine recognizes Darrin Gee’s Spirit of Golf Academy
Kohala Coast, Big Island of Hawaii (November 5, 2008) – Darrin Gee’s Spirit of Golf Academy based on the Big Island of Hawaii has been named one of the top golf schools in America by Golf Magazine.
“We are honored to receive this award and recognition. To me, being named one of America’s top golf schools reflects the outstanding performance and skills of my coaching staff during the last eight years. It really belongs to them,” said Darrin Gee from his Kamuela office.
Renowned for his cutting-edge mental approach to golf known as The Seven Principles of GolfTM, Gee is credited with sharing his methodology with over 10,000 people since he started his Spirit of Golf Academy in 2000.
“The most unique aspect about the Academy is that it helps people achieve peak performance both on and off the golf course. My goal is to help every person reach his or her own potential. That means playing the best golf possible. Equally important, these same techniques apply to life as well. When I receive a note from a former student telling me how the Principles have improved his or her career or personal life, I feel even more gratification,” Gee explains.
Last year, Gee’s first book aptly named The Seven Principles of Golf: Mastering the Mental Game On and Off the Golf Course (published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang) was a national best-seller. His highly anticipated follow-up The Seven Personalities of Golf: Discover Your Inner Golfer to Play Your Best Game (also published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang) was just released in September 2008.
“I want to reach as many golfers as possible who have yet to visit us on the Big Island. These books share the same Principles that we teach at the Academy with resounding success. It has been amazing how many readers worldwide have contacted me by email, phone and mail to say how it has had a positive impact,” Gee adds.
The Academy offers a hands-on, interactive, step-by-step approach in which participants experience the power of the Seven Principles and the mental game with supportive feedback and coaching. All programs take place outside a classroom on the putting green, driving range and golf course. Gee proudly adds, “We’ve had golfers cut as many as 22 strokes in one day. I love it when they all leave with smiles on their faces.”
In appreciation of the support from the golfing community in Hawaii, Darrin Gee’s Spirit of Golf Academy is offering all Kama’aina 50% off the regular rate for its half-day clinic through December 31, 2008.

Darrin Gee’s Spirit of Golf Academy offers half-day, full-day, custom multi-day programs as well as private and playing lessons taught by Gee and his trained coaching staff. The Academy is based at the Big Island Country Club and the Hapuna Golf Course at Mauna Kea Resort in Hawaii.

Mauna Lani Fairway 905 is a great place to stay while taking Darrin's classes.

Here on the Big Island, Green Sea Turtles commonly come into shallow waters to feed on the algae (limu) growing on the bottom. During the past few years, green turtles have begun to crawl out on the rocks or sand and "bask", primarily during daylight hours. This basking is normal behavior unique to Hawaiian sea turtles.
Green turtles are protected by both state and federal laws as a threatened species. As such, it is illegal to disturb or handle them in any way, and fines can be imposed for doing so. If you see green turtles basking, please do not bother them. They will crawl back into the water when they are ready. Please enjoy the beauty of these wonderful creatures, both above and below the water.

ResortSoftware.Biz

ResortSoftware.Biz?

We specialize in many aspects of hospitality and property management software, such as, resort software, hotel software, online hotel software, online resort software, online reservation software, travel agency software, online hotel search engines, online resort search engines and vacation software. In addition, we also offer document imaging software. By way of our software you can scan your documents and then our software will import data from your documents in to databases so that computer programs, reports or web pages may use the data in the databases.

Some of the languages and database packages we specialize in using include ASP.Net, C, C#, Delphi, Microsoft Office products, MySQL, PHP, SQL Server, Visual Basic.Net and Visual FoxPro.

Our accounting software was founded in 1992 as we started getting requests to write stand alone accounting modules for small businesses. Our initial accounting software was written in dBase IV and since then it has been migrated to Microsoft Visual FoxPro, Microsoft Visual Basic and currently is being written in Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2008 with Crystal Reports. The current version is fairly large and should be easy for almost any industry to download and use. Besides being generic accounting software that should be usable by anyone our accounting software also focuses on specific industries such as construction, hospitality, manufacturing and real estate.
This accounting program was written to clearly and concisely keep track of all business transactions.
The main features that this program offers which other accounting programs may or may not offer includes, user-friendliness, computer graphic enhancements and an extremely large job costing program.
Reseller agreements, sales, training and technical support are available 24-7 at 1-949-307-2485

This might be overkill but here is some more:
Databases
While there are many extremely good and popular programming languages in the world, the number or good and popular databases in the world are fairly limited. We support the following databases: Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual FoxPro, MySQL and Oracle.
Besides being a programming language, Access is an extremely good all around database that works well with client server and web programs.
SQL Server and Oracle are generally considered to be the worlds 2 database heavy weights. Both of these databases packages are extremely fast, extremely comprehensive and are generally what is used where large scale infrastructure is involved.
MySQL by Sun Micro Systems is almost always paired with the web programming language PHP.

Languages
Some of the languages we specialize in using include ASP.Net, C, C#, Delphi , HTML with Java Script, Microsoft Office products, MySQL, PHP, SQL Server, Visual Basic.Net and Visual FoxPro.
Languages should be selected according to how they are going to be used. ASP.Net and PHP are excellent database oriented web languages. Asp.Net is Microsoft’s premier web language and is extremely well supported. PHP is a little faster than ASP.Net and is not supported as well.
Many types of C are frequently used for more difficult types of programs such as network operating systems, operating systems, robotics and embedded programming for small electronics devices.
Microsoft office, Visual Basic.Net and Visual FoxPro are extremely good client server database / information oriented languages.

Reports
Report generators that we support are Active Reports, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Visual FoxPro.
Our report generator of choice is Crystal Reports. Crystal Reports can connect to any of the more popular database packages such as Access, Oracle or SQL Server. For many years Crystal Reports by Business Objects has held the leading market percent in report generation more than likely because of how great of a report generator it is. Crystal Reports can be used with client server programs or web programs.
If one chooses to use a more economical route in report generation data can be output to most popular software packages and languages such as Access, Excel, Word, ASP. Net and PHP just to name a few.

Web Development
This web site is a prime example of our web development work.
Some of the web languages that we support are ASP. Net (with C#, Java Script or VB Script), HTML with Java Script, PHP and XML.
ASP. Net is normally paired with the databases Access or SQL Server.
HTML with or with out Java Script is extremely good at displaying information and graphics and normally does not integrate with databases.
PHP is an extremely fast running programming language and is normally used with the database MySQL. PHP can be used with Linux, Unix or Windows servers.

Renewable Energy Sources, Federal Tax Credit

Renewable Energy Sources
RenewableEnergy Sources
Solar Energy
The sun’s energy can be harnessed with many solar technologies.
Photovoltaic (PV) or solar electricity uses cells made up of semi-conducting materials to turn sunlight into electricity. PV cells can be combined into modules that can power appliances and electronic equipment.
Federal tax credits are available to partially subsidize PV systems, which can cost about $20,000 or more for a typical residential PV system without battery backup. Recently, the state increased the credit for single-family residential PV systems to $5,000 while commercial photovoltaics are now eligible for credits up to $500,000. PV-equipped homes and business that produce more solar electric energy than they use and are connected to the utility grid can use surplus power to offset their electricity bills. This net-metering system is also applicable to other renewable energy systems.

More about Concentrated Solar Power
Solar water heating or solar thermal devices use heat from the sun to produce hot water. Since 1996, HECO, HELCO, and MECO have encouraged homeowners to install solar water heating systems through cash rebates to help defray installation costs. The rebates, along with State and Federal tax credits, are dramatically lowering solar water heating installation costs.
Today, Hawaii’s utilities have one of the largest and most successful solar water heating programs in the nation. We would hope that everyone who can have the luxury of living here in the great state of Hawaii could take the time to understand the benefits of this not so complicated application of energy.
We hope to promote this in many of our homes in the years to come.

Welcome to FlexingHeart.com Richard and Maureen Levy

Oneness • Awareness • Stability
Come with us as we learn to use life’s inconveniences
to awaken to love’s presence

In these tumultuous times, it has never been more important to develop a spacious mind of peace and an open heart. Richard and Maureen Levy present teachings and a direct experience of the divine to move one forward into inner peace and a deeper sense of love and appreciation for yourself and others.

It is our pleasure to serve you!
where the buddhaful mind of the presence touches the heart of the living truthHE SIX NOBLE TRUTHS OF UNITY

1. There is only One Presence and One Power in the Universe: God, the Good, Omnipotent. No matter what the outer circumstances may be showing us, God is ever present.

2. We are spiritual beings, created in God’s image; therefore, we are innately good. The Spirit of God lives within each of us.

3. We create our life’s experiences by how we choose to act/react to the events of our lives. By consciously choosing our thoughts and becoming aware of our feelings, we can change our reality.

4. Prayer and meditation open our insight, intuition, and conscious awareness of the Divine Presence which is within us always. Through daily practice we reconnect to this Presence. This is our inner work.

5. Through the practices of lovingkindness and forgiveness, we bring the Spirit of God into the world. This is our outer work.

6. We live these principles through practical application, by practicing daily. Remember, that which is done with ease, was first practiced with great diligence.
Spiritual Practices: View, Practice, Action

Buddhist thought speaks of View, Practice, and Action. In using this framework, we can take a simple look at Unity’s spiritual beliefs and practices which are supported and upheld through our Sunday services, classes and programs.

Unity’s view comes from our first basic Spiritual Principle. There is only One Presence and One Power in the universe, God, the Good, Omnipotent. From this perspective we understand that all things are a part of this One Dynamic, Loving Presence. No matter what shows up in our life, beneath, above and through it all, The One Presence and One Power is there, loving us, supporting us, living through us.

Unity uses the practices of meditation and prayer to help us take an honest look at not only our divinity, but also our humanity. These practices help us to look deeply at what is going on inside of ourselves. We see not only the good within us, but we look at the parts that most of us want to run away from: the anger, resentment, jealousy, fear…As long as we run away from these emotions, we are ruled by them. The more we sit in meditation, the more we pray, the more we realize the whole universe is playing out inside of our own being! This helps us develop a sense of humor and a grander perspective about our individual condition, as well as our collective condition on planet earth. In these moments of fearless investigation of ourselves, “my pain”, “my suffering”, “my anger” is transformed into “the pain”, “the suffering”, “the anger” that we all share. This is when real transformation and healing become possible in the world, because we are dealing with it within ourselves.

From this honest investigation, we take action in the world. The spontaneous actions we take come from the Wellspring of Love, which lies just beneath the surface of all turmoil. These acts include lovingkindness, forgiveness, compassion, and generosity. We no longer see others as separate, but rather as extensions of the One Self of which we are all a part. These are the greatest actions we can take in this world.
