Kapoho Vacation Rentals available on www.HawaiiVacationRentalsInc.com

Kapoho Vacation Rentals

Kapoho is a magical spot on Hawaii’s Big Island, a sleepy little community on the island’s eastern tip near Hilo. You won’t find white sand beaches or fancy resorts (they’re all on the Kona side), but you will find a water wonderland of tide pools and lagoons formed out of the flowing lava from the Kilauea volcano that provide a wonderful habitat for marine life of all kinds and a snorkeler’s paradise!

Experience the other wonders of the Big Island’s Hilo side: tropical rainforested valleys carved out of tall mountains, waterfalls, exotic gardens, rugged lava coastlines, and of course an active volcano. If all that sounds intriguing, then it’s time to visit this unspoiled part of the Big Island and stay in one of the Kapoho vacation rentals offered by our colleagues at Hawaii Holiday Vacation Rentals.

Hawaii Holiday offers oceanfront, ocean view, or truly tropical accommodations in fine Kapoho vacation homes. See the list below for a sample.

For reservations or more information, fill out the Reservation Request Form [link to a new form page] or call Hawaii Holiday at 808-965-0400 and mention Coupon Code “HVR0905” to get the best rates.

Here on the Big Island, Green Sea Turtles commonly come into shallow waters to feed on the algae (limu) growing on the bottom. During the past few years, green turtles have begun to crawl out on the rocks or sand and "bask", primarily during daylight hours. This basking is normal behavior unique to Hawaiian sea turtles.
Green turtles are protected by both state and federal laws as a threatened species. As such, it is illegal to disturb or handle them in any way, and fines can be imposed for doing so. If you see green turtles basking, please do not bother them. They will crawl back into the water when they are ready. Please enjoy the beauty of these wonderful creatures, both above and below the water.

Puako Home Sales Blog
Locally owned and operated here in Puako, Hawaii Vacation Rentals is the best choice for creating your dream vacation. The translation of Puako is literally “sugar cane blossom” Pua (blossom) and Ko (sugar cane). The area was settled by the Hawaiians, who established several small fishing villages along the coast. Puako has a rich history of petroglyph art. Access to the Puako pertroglyphs through the Mauna Lani Resort. The Polynesians first spoke of a mystical island paradise to the north called Hawaii or "Hawa'i." When they finally set foot on Hawaii's Big Island around A.D. 600, they discovered an enormous, lush land mass, with thousand-foot waterfalls, thriving reefs, fertile valleys, and volcanoes exploding with red lava.
